中國人喜歡在春節(jié)時寫春聯(lián)，然后貼在大門的兩側(cè)。

Chinese people like writing Spring Festival couplets during the Spring Festival and pasting them on both sides of the door.

春聯(lián)字數(shù)不多，都是寓意祝福吉祥的句子，用墨水或金漆寫在長條的紅紙上，包含上聯(lián)、下聯(lián)和橫批。

Spring Festival couplets are concise and usually contain auspicious blessings. They are written with ink or gold paint on long strips of red paper and consist of the upper scroll, the lower scroll,and the horizontal scroll.

這上下聯(lián)字數(shù)一樣，究竟該怎么貼呢？

The upper and lower scrolls have the same number of characters. So how should they be pasted?

中國傳統(tǒng)文字的順序不同于西方國家或現(xiàn)代中國，在過去，人們習慣從右到左豎線書寫。

The order of traditional Chinese characters is different from Western countries or modern China. In the past, people were accustomed to writing vertically from right to left.

要確定上聯(lián)在左邊還是右邊，得先看橫批怎么寫。

To determine whether the upper scroll should be on the left or right, you need to look at how the horizontal scroll is written.

如果橫批是從左往右寫，上聯(lián)就在左邊，橫批從右往左寫，上聯(lián)就在右邊。

If the horizontal scroll is written from left to right, the upper scroll is on the left; if the horizontal scroll is written from right to left, the upper scroll is on the right.

除了貼春聯(lián)外，中國人還很喜歡在窗戶和玻璃門上貼窗花，象征著健康和興旺，也更能增加喜慶的氣氛。
